Title: please answet my question here
YuJie - October 26, 2006 05:08 PM (GMT)
this may sound very silly. but i'm quite curious, if Yui actually knows about the existence of this forum, or visited this forum before? anyone?
tsukiko - October 27, 2006 06:53 AM (GMT)
Haha, I doubt so, since she doesn't know English. But maybe she knows about it, but has not visited before. Or maybe she does so secretly! :D
ryon - October 27, 2006 11:13 AM (GMT)
well you never know... maybe one of the staff members knows of this forum and has shown it to her... so i do believe that some how or rather... she knows of us... :P
YuJie - October 27, 2006 11:17 AM (GMT)
okay.thas good to hear ;)
Taiki - October 27, 2006 01:47 PM (GMT)
I have a dream..
...
Well, I always dream about YUI mentioning YUI-Lovers in an interview or in a diary entry.. And I believe that if we continue to support her, this dream will come true someday. ó_Ò
YuJie - October 27, 2006 01:51 PM (GMT)
i hope.....i feel that its a pretty big fanbase already with 1.5k plus of members ( maybe minus of a few hundred for leechers ) and if Yui doesn't know about this forum, it'll be pretty sad :huhuhu

i mean not a lot of ppl know what myspace is anyways out of america....
she has better chances of having a Mixi
viper92583 - December 29, 2006 04:39 PM (GMT)
heh...2 ways to confirm ID...(assuming you have a log of IP's that have visited the forum)
~ trace the IP...you'll get an ISP, and with the right modifications to the script, a real physical address of the building containing the system. it's okay to run basic traces (a powerful diagnostic, and having run a tracer on my server, explains why I have trouble getting a stable remote connection), but once you search for addresses, you run into legality issues.
~ cross-reference a log of visiting IP's with IP's that have performed write-access operations on YUI's official website. this would be considered a sniffing (or phishing) script, and is highly illegal unless you are running legitimate diagnostics on a network (chances are, you're going to pick up information from outside systems, and then you're outside the legal blanket of protection)...
swing - December 30, 2006 04:34 PM (GMT)
well, when i was with the other do as infinity forum.. once during the lead singer bdae, we mass created a wish card that included all our nicks and locations and sent it over to her company website i believe..and we say happy bdae in as many languages, as many dialects possible. and she actually replied on her website to thank us( she indicated the forum) haha, we were so overjoyed..
aminae - January 2, 2007 12:41 AM (GMT)
I've noticed that a lot of artists don't even visit their own websites -- in an interview recently, nakashima mika and BoA both said that they don't know what content is on their websites because they are not responsible for it. When presented with a fanbook, Mika didn't even know that people knew her name in the United States.
So I am guessing that unless this site shows up in Japanese search engines, she probably doesn't even know it exists, sorry to burst your bubble.
Buuuut like "swing" said, if we were to make something major, that would definitely alert her to the fact that people like her in the U.S.
And to address someone's response about speaking English -- um, you have to learn it in schools, but often people cannot speak it as well as they write it.
faeiq - January 5, 2007 03:54 AM (GMT)
even though yui's never mentioned whether or not she knew of the existence of this site, let's not feel down just yet.
how bout we do something that might just get her attention, like what swing said . . although i dunno what would be nice though
iron_turkey - January 5, 2007 03:59 AM (GMT)
How about... someone fly to Japan and tell her XD what a great idea!!
umm to be realistic, I think the best way, is to comment on her Yui-net thing, withouth mentioned our link, just telling her that we exist BUT IN ENGLISH, so it catches attention, but it would be sad if she doesn't check her own official site, if she doesn't.. then we are kinda hopeless :huhuhu
rubberduck - January 5, 2007 04:10 AM (GMT)
Whether or not she knows it exists, is irrelevant.. I don't think she is the type to go scouring for fansites dedicated to her :P
It is unlikely that she would personally check the Yui-net comments herself.. Unless she writes a blog or something on there..
Speaking of which, I wonder how technologically literate she is.. blogs, etc..
iron_turkey - January 5, 2007 04:31 AM (GMT)
Yeah maybe we can do something on her birthday... that can catch attention, but what can it be?
Anyway... but what if we find out that she is the kind that doesn't go on the computer unless it is necessary, like once a mouth or worse... Hmm I wonder what other ways we can make her notice us...
rubberduck - January 5, 2007 05:16 AM (GMT)
We could organise a mass trip to Tokyo next year for her birthday ^_^
atheon - January 5, 2007 06:00 AM (GMT)
rubberduck and
iron_turkey:
YUI has a diary on the website,
Gin translates in from time to time in
his blog, YUI uses her cellphone to update it. It's common to surf the net using cellphone in Japan.
And YUI does read the messages regularly, she mentioned it before. Classic example: One time she typed the name of the venue she been to perform live (Zeep Tokyo instead of Zepp), and messed up the surname of some other artist, her fans quickly told her in message board, immediatly she corrected it and put an 'EDIT' sign down there to thank her fans.
Maybe the staff told her, who knows?
I agree on spamming her message board in English :green It'll be quite a sight :P Pick sometime when less people will post on it, and spam~~~~~
rubberduck - January 5, 2007 06:09 AM (GMT)
That's very interesting Atheon..
Although I think spamming her message board could have an adverse effect.. Who knows ^_^

We should put our name as YUI Lover Forum's atheon or something haha. Maybe out of curiousity the staff will goggle it haha XD
I think they will like it if they received so many english messages from people around the world, meaningful ones I mean.
iron_turkey - January 6, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)
yeah, we just need to make the sentences really easy to understand, so they won't find it too annoying =D And don't use big words.. so the plan is out... let's wait for the moderating team to reply *some day*
We shouldn't spam it, just go on it everyday or every once in a while is good

Hang on... Let me just think about that... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm........... I think it's about as likely as me paying your way over here to bring me an Ovation CS247.. :P
12 months is enough time to save for a short trip.. ^_^
You know what's interesting? I went to a goal setting seminar last week, and the goals I wrote down were:
- Live and work in Japan
- Have my money work for me so I can enjoy my life
- Donate to SIDS research
- Financially support the Yui fansite to bring the fans to Japan to see Yui perform live
I'm not kidding.. I really did write that down..
kh7yusuke - January 8, 2007 09:17 AM (GMT)
cool....you're rich guys... XD :D
Dahrealsonic - January 8, 2007 06:19 PM (GMT)
Too much money maybe? Well that are some good goals, I say do it :P
YuJie - January 14, 2007 12:27 PM (GMT)
br4d137 - January 14, 2007 07:06 PM (GMT)
hey guys lets go back to the spamming of her message blog thing idea...
i think it would work if we do it in mass.. I mean we got other members making list to meet each other up... i don't think it would be hard to get a lot of members to write something on her message board..
my idea is we pick a day..
maybe someday before her birthday.. i have another idea for her bday..
but lets just say... the 20th/21st (depending where u live) of January.. and we coordinate the time zones correctly.. and make a big post at that time..
we'll make a list of times.
ie... GMT +1:00: blah blah blah, GMT -2:00: blah blah blah.. easiest way to find out what time zone ur in, is just to look at ur computer clock and under time zones...
now the message has to be short and sweet... and she can understand
I'm thinking some thing like...
"Hello, I am from (your country, province, state here). I love your music very much."
and then.... "(your name or nickname) www.YUI-lover.com"
the reason why i wanna to this early is because Tokyo Story has mentioned us to her.... and i want her to meet us before she forgets about us...
SOOO... what do u guys think???
lets put this idea in action, lets make the bill into the law, and in Texas lets git to gitten'
give me some feedback
atheon - January 14, 2007 10:50 PM (GMT)
I'm in B) But I don't think that we can post links in the message, maybe just
atheon@YUI Lover something like that.
Yea pick a day where's less people will post on the message board to avoid 'traffic jam' haha XD
br4d137 - January 14, 2007 11:48 PM (GMT)
i posted links b4 .... hmmm im not sure... we can test heheh
sora - January 15, 2007 04:24 AM (GMT)
You can post links in the message board! I have seen it being done..
