First of all, because my English is not all that great so if any part seems confusing, just let me know and I'll try my best to correct it. well, although you could find this in some of her other songs too, like "I can't say". I find this one more "direct". As if, she is really saying that she was loving someone, but in the end couldn't say it.
Whereas in her other songs, she wouldn't sing it too directly, but rather keeping it a bit vague.
(But this could be the way of the translator translation, so I don't know...)

But since this is the B-Side of "I Remember You". This could be written in the mood of "Taiyou no Uta" right. So doesn't necessarily have to be autobiographic :P

You all should know Japanese lyrics are hard to translate into English, because Japanese sentences often omit the subject. In conversation it is easy to understand the subject from the situation, but it is much harder with a song. The first line of this song could be any of these:

Why didn't I tell (him/her/you) earlier??

I don't see much discussion or mention of this song, which is strange because it's beautiful. The melody, the words, and the tone are all very deep and emotional. I hadn't heard this song until a couple days ago and it's now one of my favorites.
