lolz... i'm tryin' to learn the way YUI does it now... where ur fingers slide across the fret board heapz!!

ok yea so im doing that fret sliding thing. and i need help. cuz like i can do it but as soon as i slide my fingers, the sound dies on me. any advice?

i just STARTED learning guitar
from my pro friend

and he demo the intro part.

as for the sliding i TRIED...

the timing was all off but i could get the tune right
(hard to slide and hit the next note on time -.-)

i encountered the sound dying the moment i slide across the fretboard

but i think it is because when you slide, you did not press on to the string hard enough.

the pressure should remain the same, if not firmer as when u were in a still fingering

um that's what i found =x

all it takes is practise... and it kinda hurts ur finger when u first try to do it... it'll also sound funni if u're not pressin' hard enuff or if u hit the other strings...

lol i cant feel my left finger tips, it doesnt hurts at all n i can easily slide lol XD

yea yui slies a little differntly though. like she slides then switches fingers. kinda tricky. i cant find any good vids to copy off of. maybe if someone could post a short vid of them playing that bit of the song.

i just saw in the LIFE video, YUI does a lot of the "funky chords"
haha and by funky chords.. i mean
its something like

U - up
D - down
* - play chord
x - mute all strings

x * x * x * x *
U D U D U D U D

[it looks different from when i type it.. so just imagine the stars and x's are on top of each U and D individually]
