The New Year!!

The New Year was passed in Fukuoka.

After I returned after a long time, i didn't feel nostalgic but i feel just like yesterday. *might contain some miss translation*

I visit a shrine and eating rice cakes and vegetable rice soup, With them, I feel fully enjoy The New Year !! How about you??

I would like to enjoy 2006 with such feeling.

I performed!! Though I was amazingly nervous, (Tetsuya Chikushi-san, Kusano-san, Sako-san, and also all of the staff members were gentle) I safely finished good.

The album release gets closer and closer, so no matter what way you manage to hear one of the songs, it's still very fun.

The New "Staff Report" Feature has been completed. Keep those opinions coming on the message boards! Even if you don't understand how to work it, please try to post in the home page section!

In this picture I've got a package of Tokushima's famous candy, the Sudachi Gaufratte! It was given to me by a staff member who's always helping to film the PV's. *laughs*

The picture is Tokushima's special candy, which I have always received from the person that I am indebted to for taking a picture of the promotion video (laughs).

How did everyone spend their Valentine's Day?
Usually I just eat chocolates and sweets (laughs).

Coverage for the album has settled down.
When Writer-san did the coverage, in exploring his thoughts and such, a new discovery was made which is a fresh feeling.

The release of "FROM ME TO YOU" is really close by!!!
Thus, when thinking about it, time has surprisingly passed by quickly!

Visting Hiroshima!!

I'm visiting Hiroshima!

Although I've performed here at a school festival at Fukuyama University, this was the first time I visited the actual "city" of Hiroshima. :)


Even though I arrived in the afternoon, the sky cleared up, and the weather was quite nice.

I also tasted Hiroshima's famous food: "Special Okonomiyaki"!!


It was a quite fancy food, with a lot of vegetables and yakisoba (fried soba noodles). It was very delicious!

I'm looking forward to performing here during the Tour!

Nationwide Tour has begun!!

I went (laughs) to the messageboard a lot and it was interesting.
I'm amazed at the topic that appeared on the first day of the tour at Fukuoka! It means a lot.

BIRTHDAY!!

I truly thank you a lot for all the birthday messages.

Though it was just inside the tour, all of my close staff members gathered together and held a birthday party for me.
I also received a cake and a present from all the tour staff after the Hiroshima LIVE concert.
And! Above all, I was truly deeply moved by all the messages you sent me.

I was a bit surprised by all the people on my birthday (laughs).

NOTE by blue cat: In the following diary entry, I believe YUI uses different dialects of the word "very" that she has been learning from the cities that she has toured in so far. For example, she uses "buchi" from the city of Hiroshima which is how younger women there say the word "very". YUI later uses the word "iginari" from the city of Sendai and writes "iginari oishikatta desu yo" which would translate to "very delicious!" but only in Sendai dialect cuz of the use of "iginari". ;)


Inside the Nationwide Tour!!

From Fukuoka's "chikappa" to Hiroshima's "Buchi".
Sendai says it as "iginari", what do you think?
The bamboo grass was "very" delicious (laughs).

It was interesting to discover different word dialects in Sapporo since they say "namara" but other places there say "adatsu" and "waya".
I also ate Hokkaido ice cream!!

However, Hokkaido was 2 degrees celsius. Tokyo is 17 degrees celsius and so the temperature is fairly different, isn't it?
My body can't keep in pace with it (laughs).

Next I will be going to Osaka and Nagoya. I am enjoying all these good memories!!
I will also happily read the impression of the LIVE.

For those people who cannot come to the LIVE concert this time around, I am always truly thankful for your messages of support!!

Which reminds me that even though it is April Fools, nothing has particularly happened (laughs).

NOTE by blue cat: I don't know exactly what YUI meant in the first line of this diary entry but I think she was saying a tongue twister of Japanese words, cuz I heard that on her 8 Street LIVE Tour she taught the fans at the concerts some tongue twisters that she learned. In this diary entry, she also talks about dialects she's learned in Osaka and Nagoya. For example, she uses the word "dera" from the city of Nagoya which is their dialectical version of the word "sugoi" which means "amazing". Also in the second line of this entry, "nyaa nyaa" is the sound of a cat's meow in Japan and "wanwan" is the sound of a dog's bark in Japan. YUI mentions this cuz at her concerts she had the fans meow and bark (even chirp like a bird or rooster, which would be "paoon" and "kokekokko" in Japan) when she played one of her songs. I heard the song was "Just my way". :)

Finally, has it become warm?
But, it seems like it's going to be hot this summer.

I bought more than 20 books with all the book gift certificates I received for my birthday. (laughs)
How long will it take until I finish reading?

In current activities, I've been working hard in covering magazine articles and photographs for the movie "Taiyou no Uta".

Of course, the music score is finished.

In YUI RADIO, I announced that my indies song "It's happy line" will be coupled with the "Good-bye days" single.
To tell the truth, I sing it in the movie.

I went together with a member in my band.
Though I ate Sapporo Raamen for the first... it was delicious!

Well, is it already summer? Even though the rainy season didn't come.
There is a difference in temperature! If everyone's physical condition does not fall apart, then that is good.

Which reminds me, the other day I performed at ANIME FES! Well, it was wide!
I was surprised to hear that as many as 9,000 people showed up.
I was also able to hear the voice actor's recorded voice, since the stadium was wide there was a delay (the voice echoed throughout), and it was very pleasant because of the amazing atmosphere of the stadium! I was impressed!!
As for ANIME FES, since it will be in Osaka, it will be a pleasure.
