Hey guys~ i'm wondering if you guys know of any good MALE acoustic guitarists! I noticed a lot of Japanese female "Michelle Branch/Avril Lavigne" style musicians have sprung up (though YUI is the best!). I'm trying to find the Japanese Dave Matthews, Howie Day, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, etc., etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, I recommend you B'z, it's not acoustic guitar, but Tak Matsumoto is one of the best guitarrist on Japan, you must listen their songs^^, then I recommend Naotaro Moriyama's songs^^

Dude, you so should not miss out on WaT! They're like, male versions of YUI... in a way. They both sing, write and compose their own music, play the guitar... and they're both AWESOME. XD Favorite songs from them are... Hadaka, Michisurube, 5 Centi., and Boku no Kimochi. Actually, they're all great. ^_^

Yuzu is also good too, in terms of acoustic guitars, and they sing too. They are kind of like the group Sasuke (whom are also somewhat similar to WaT, except not boy-bandish at all).

WaT is a Johnnys' duet. Would be ok if you like those idol pop groups but i would not put them in YUI's level.

Yeah Sakura is pretty much amazing. I bought the single and I should really buy more of his stuff. Naotaro's mom (Moriyama Ryoko) has some good songs too. I recently ordered her "Satou Kibi Batake" single but I haven't got it yet because it will ship with WaT's new single.
