Title: Black Jack

Okay, here's how Black Jack's divided up into:

*Black Jack the manga,
Originally by the amazing Tezuka Osamu.
Though..I've only seen BJ and Kimba the White Lion...He's still amazing!

*The Anime OVA:
Made around the 70's or 80's..? Can't remember, but it's a little younger than the manga. It's pretty mature, and takes place most likely a little more recent then the manga was portrayed.

*Anime special: Black Jack: The Four Miracles of Life
Basically, this part of the anime that is almost a prequel to the next part I'm going to explain is really just to see how many viewers would be interested in watching it. It is made up of four episodes, or Karte's. Each karte basically introduces what is what some people might believe to be as the reason why people live.

*The Anime: Black Jack.
Takes place in a time that is very much like....today. It's similar to the OVA except it's more of a family-type thing, meaning it does not have the mature content like in the OVA, but BJ still does the surgical stuff that we all like.

*The anime: Black Jack 21
Much more recent. Basically it's Black Jack with a new name and a new season, plus a hat. Also, unlike the clasical BJ that only touches on some parts of BJ's past and has episodes that you can skip without missing too much other than another surgery, this season has a true blue storyline. This storyline focuses on BJ's past and touches on really interesting aspects. But like the classical one, the miracles of life are stilll intertwined in the story.

Hmm..I think that's it...For you Tezuka fans out there, if you spot any mistakes in my summaries, please inform me and I'll be able to change it if it's within reason :)

I think BJ is a very inspiring character.....For many reasons too. Here's some stuff I typed up in a fansubbing forum that subs BJ:
QUOTE
I like the way he acts, his decisions tend to be morally right in a way. And how he has "god-like" scalpel skills makes me want to become a doctor, more specifically a surgeon. I think I mentioned this before, but I used to be interested in the medical field even before watching BJ, but that dream totally died down for a while until I saw an anime based on medicine. THat's pretty much why I watched Black Jack in the first place..^^
So, other than becoming a doctor...it also, at the same time, makes me want to push myself up to become a marine/zoologist...I'm an absolute animal freak, but at the same time I enjoy looking at organs and some blood in operation rooms while doctors are doing their jobs. Ever since the episode with Toriton, my interest in both fields have actually greatly increased..Though I must say, I think I'm more interested in animals than medicine.
And with the recent release of the Abacus episode...I was inspired to learn how to use an abacus! LOL! Yes I know, crazy but I'm proud=P Actually, I was REALLY lucky because ever since I started watching that episode, and asked my dad for an abacus and to teach me how to use it, my grandpa and grandma from Hong Kong were going to come and visit! Why am I so lucky for that? Not only do I get to see my grandparents that I don't see very often, but my grandpa is also a HK champion with using the abacus...^^ I'm not really sure how good he is, but according to my dad and my uncles and aunts, he's beaten a calculator using the abacus...I was amazed to hear that actually...So, I learned how to use it yesterday, and I'm dead proud of myself because now I can slowly add, and I can count using the abacus faster than you can count out loud ^____________^ BUt man....When my grandpa had to set up the upper portions, all he did was flick the thing and the bottom deck remained still while the upper deck pieces all came up....I could do that, but I have to use two hands and do it really slowly o-o

Oh yeah, and BJ has also inspired me to draw thnings more simpler XD Tezuka's drawings are great, and they're almost semi-chibi styled in my opinion, which is great! ^^

Also, I gotta add that Pinoco is hecka awesome!!! ACHONBOURIKE!!!!
