Title: Urgent! All Japanese users please read this topic!
Description: 読んで下さいね!

There is a 10 minute streaming clip of a scene from Taiyou No Uta on this website. However, only users using Japanese IP addresses can access the movie clip. Is there a way for some Japanese user to download or rip the stream for us poor, unfortunate Gaijin fans? Thanks!

I don't know much about it, but maybe you can use proxies?

Perhaps. I don't know, though. I'm not well-versed in computer stuff. You could try it, I suppose. If you do, let us know if it works! :)

Using proxies sounds simple, but from experience, I'm a bit more than reluctant to try it myself. It's a lot more trouble than you think. You need to be able to connect using an accepted login/PW, which means you have to find out what that is.

Sniffing, server-side scripts, straightforward DoS and backdoor approach...these are the sorts of ways to get in to secure proxies...As for anonymous connections to proxies, you'll be lucky to find them anymore...You're stealing effective bandwidth from the paying customers, thus damaging the business...Not necessarily the best way to go...

Try IP spoofing. Much safer, you don't leave your computer wide open (which you do in the case of sniffing and backdoor), and it doesn't leave a footprint on a server...It merely fools the server you're connecting to into thinking you're somewhere else...Essentially a binary lie...

I'll try it if I get time, though admittedly sometimes getting that to work is rather time-consuming (you have to find a Japanese server and reverse-DNS to retrieve an IP)...Advantage? This is legal. IP's are public record, as far as the Internet goes...

Oftentimes, proxy connections are legal, but in the case of any actual forced connections, you're well outside of the law...
